Something that I really enjoy doing is taking simple semi-prepared items and making them a little more special. For example, this is my take on kimchi flavored ramen (serving size for one). Just an fyi, the measurements aren’t precise. When I cook I just throw a little of this and a little of that, these are guesstimates and feel free to adjust to your tastes as well!
Items needed:
1 bag of Kimchi flavored ramen
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp chopped garlic
2 stalks of bok choy
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp hoisin sauce
2 tsp pepper flakes
1 tbsp sriracha
1 stalk green onion
1 tsp sesame seeds
1 soft boiled egg
Place egg in water.
Bring to boil and boil for two mins.
Turn off heat, let egg sit in water for about 4-6 mins.
Place sesame oil in pan with chopped bok choy, garlic, green onion, and soy sauce.
Stir until bok choy and onion are somewhat tender.
Boil amount of water needed for ramen.
Cook noodles according to instructions.
Place hoisin sauce, ginger, kimchi flavoring, and vegetable mix into a bowl.
Pour water and noodles into bowl, stir.
Top with bok choy, onion, egg, pepper flakes, sesame seeds, and sriracha.
Enjoy!
